Invisalign Cost in Hamilton
Our five Invisalign fees in full, what sits inside each one, how to tell which package your teeth need, and how our prices line up against the rest of Lanarkshire.
How Much Does Invisalign Cost in Hamilton?
At Hamilton Smile Studios, Invisalign costs £2,500 for Express, £3,500 for Lite, £4,000 for Moderate, £4,500 for Comprehensive and £5,000 for Comprehensive Plus. Each fee already includes scans, X-rays, refinements, Vivera retainers, home whitening and a hygiene visit, and it is fixed in writing before treatment begins. The consultation is free, with a £40 deposit you get back once you've attended.
Our Five Invisalign Fees
| Package | Usually suits | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Express | A small amount of crowding or spacing, or slight slipping after old braces | £2,500 |
| Lite | Mild crowding or a modest gap | £3,500 |
| Moderate | More teeth to move, or a mild bite correction | £4,000 |
| Comprehensive | Larger movements, usually both arches | £4,500 |
| Comprehensive Plus | The most involved cases aligners can treat | £5,000 |
What sets the package is how much your teeth need to move, not how many appointments you'll have. Once you've agreed the fee in your written plan, it stays put. 1
What Every Fee Pays For
There's no separate bill for the parts that tend to be charged as extras elsewhere. Each Invisalign package includes:
- the iTero Lumina scan, the simulation and your X-rays
- all the aligners in that package
- refinements, meaning any extra aligners needed at the end to perfect a tooth or two
- a set of Vivera retainers once you finish
- home whitening with custom trays
- a hygiene visit
Bought one by one, those three items (retainers, whitening and a clean) add up to £950: Vivera retainers are £530, home whitening £350 and a 30-minute hygiene visit £70.

Which Package Will I Need?
You won't have to guess. That said, a rough idea helps you budget before you come in.
- Express often suits someone who had braces in their teens and has noticed one or two lower teeth creeping forward. It tends to take a few months.
- Lite fits a little more: a slightly overlapped front tooth, or a gap you can just see when you smile.
- Moderate is for crowding that affects several teeth, or a small overbite to correct along the way.
- Comprehensive covers people who've never had treatment and have noticeable crowding in both arches. Allow around a year to eighteen months.
- Comprehensive Plus is kept for the most complex movement that aligners can still manage well.
If your examination shows the problem is mostly in the jaw position, aligners may not be the right tool at all, and we'll say so rather than sell you a package.
How Local Prices Compare
When we checked practice websites across Lanarkshire in October 2026, Invisalign was mostly advertised from about £2,500 to £3,750, with complex cases quoted higher. Those are starting figures, and they often leave out the retainers, the whitening or the refinements, which can add several hundred pounds by the end.
Our Express fee sits at the bottom of that local range and includes all three. The larger packages cost more because they cover far more tooth movement, not because extras are bolted on. Every fee we charge is on our public price list, so you can lay any written quote beside it.
We also found no other Lanarkshire practice advertising Invisalign Diamond Apex status. We've held it every year from 2022 to 2026. It's based on case volume: Align Technology gives it to the top 1% of providers in Europe by number of cases. It shows how much aligner work we do. It isn't a qualification, and it doesn't make anyone an orthodontist.
Why a Low Headline Price Can Cost More
Two items make the biggest difference between quotes. The first is refinements. Teeth rarely track a computer plan perfectly, so many people need a further set of aligners near the end. Where those are charged per round, a modest starting price creeps up. The second is retainers. You need them for life, and a quote without them leaves the most important part of keeping your result unpaid.
A one-arch price is another common trap. Treating only the upper or only the lower teeth can be right for some people, but if your bite needs both arches, a single-arch figure isn't a fair comparison.
Questions to Ask Any Practice
- Does the price cover both arches, and which package is it?
- If my teeth need extra aligners at the end, is there a charge?
- Are retainers included, and what kind?
- Are the scan, X-rays and dental examinations part of the price?
- Who will plan and review my treatment?
- Will I get the fee in writing before anything is ordered?
Answers to all six are in our written plan before you start. If another practice's quote looks lower, check it against this list before you decide.
What Isn't in the Package
Being clear about the edges saves arguments later. Work needed before aligners can start, such as fillings, a course of gum treatment or an extraction, is priced separately from our fee list and explained at your consultation. So is any bonding or veneer work you choose afterwards to reshape a worn or chipped edge.
Retainers are included once. Lose them on holiday three years later, or let the dog chew them, and the replacement is charged. If you stop wearing retainers and your teeth slip back far enough to need aligners again, that is a new course of treatment, though often a short Express one.
How Your Fee Is Set
At the free consultation Dr Nikhil Sharma examines your teeth and gums, takes an iTero Lumina scan and shows you a simulation of where your teeth could finish. The planned movement decides the package. You go home with the fee in writing and no obligation to proceed. The deposit of £40 is refunded within 7 days of the visit.
If something needs dealing with first, such as gum treatment or a filling, you'll hear about it and its cost at the same appointment. Our guide to adult Invisalign explains what wearing aligners is like.
