What "Full Arch" Actually Means
A complete row of teeth, fixed onto four to six implants in one jaw. It doesn't come out at night. You clean it like natural teeth, with a little extra care underneath, and from time to time we unscrew it here to clean underneath.
You'll hear it called All-on-4 when four implants carry the bridge. The back two are angled to reach firmer bone, which often avoids grafting. Where the bone is softer we use six, and the fee stays the same.
MegaGen AnyRidge implants, which carry the CleanImplant Trusted Quality seal (the seal is the implant's, not the practice's), placed through a 3D-printed guide with MegaGen R2.
What Happens on Surgery Day
The day people worry about most. It's a long appointment, but every step is planned in advance.
Settling In
Local anaesthetic numbs the jaw. If you've chosen IV sedation (£500 a session), it's started first and you'll feel calm and drowsy throughout.
Any Remaining Teeth Out
Teeth that can't be kept are removed, gently, as part of the same appointment.
Implants Placed Through the Guide
The 3D-printed guide, made from your CT plan, sets each implant's position and angle.
Fixed Temporary Teeth
In most cases a temporary bridge is screwed in before you leave. 2 If the implants aren't firm enough on the day, you go home in a temporary denture and the bridge follows once they've settled. You'll need someone to take you home if you've been sedated.
