It's a relaxed appointment of talking, checking and planning, and you won't have any treatment on the day. We'll ask what bothers you about the missing tooth or teeth and go over your health and medicines. Then Dr Sharma looks at the space, the gum and how your teeth meet, and arranges a CT scan where one is needed (£160), which lets you see your own bone on screen. You go home with a written plan, options and a fixed fee; the visit itself costs nothing beyond a £40 deposit that comes back to you within a week, and our implant consultation page has more.

Yes, you'll leave with a written plan showing the full fee for your treatment. It lists everything your case needs, such as a bone graft, an extraction or a temporary tooth, so nothing gets added later. Once you decide to go ahead, the fee is fixed. If you're comparing quotes, check whether the other figure includes the crown and abutment as well as the implant, because ours does.

No, you can book an implant consultation with us directly. If your dentist has X-rays or notes, bring copies along. You're welcome to stay with your own dentist for dental examinations and come to us for the implant alone. If you'd like, we'll send your dentist a copy of the treatment plan so they know what's been done. Dentists who want to refer a patient can use our referrals page.

Yes, consultations are free for dental implants and full-arch treatment, Invisalign, composite bonding, veneers and smile makeovers. To hold the time we take a £40 deposit when you book, and it's returned to you within 7 days of the appointment. If you need to cancel or rearrange, let us know at least 48 hours ahead. The deposit is only kept if you miss the appointment without telling us. A dental examination is a different appointment: the new patient examination, with X-rays, is £70.

Dr Nikhil Sharma, our principal dentist, places the implants here. He plans every case on our own CT scanner, so the bone, nerves and sinuses can be seen in 3D before treatment. Each implant is then placed with MegaGen R2 guided surgery through a 3D-printed guide made from that plan. That means the dentist who designs your implant on screen is the one who places it. Yes, and a second-opinion consultation is free, like any other implant consultation. Bring whatever you were given elsewhere, such as X-rays, scans or a written quote, and we'll look at it alongside our own CT scan. If you were told there isn't enough bone, the 3D scan shows exactly what's there, and angled implants or grafting can sometimes make treatment possible. You'll get an honest view, even if it's that the first plan was sound; see our second opinion page.

Often yes, because being told you lack bone doesn't always rule implants out. The CT scan we take here measures the height and width of the bone in three dimensions, which tells us far more than a flat X-ray. Depending on what it shows, the answer might be a shorter or narrower implant, implants angled into firmer bone (common in full-arch work), or a bone graft, from £535. If the scan says implants really aren't sensible, we'll say so and talk you through bridges or dentures instead.
