A Free Second Opinion on Any Plan or Quote
We give second opinions free of charge at our Hamilton practice, on a treatment plan or quote from any dentist, in Scotland or overseas. Bring the paperwork, your X-rays or simply your teeth. You'll get an honest view of what we'd do, what it would cost, and whether anything needs doing at all.
No charge, with a £40 deposit that we return within 7 days of your visit. If your question can only be answered with a CT scan, that's £160. You're under no obligation, and we won't ask you to change dentist.

A Quote That Seems High, or Low
An implant, All-on-4, veneer or Invisalign plan from elsewhere, and whether the treatment and the price both make sense.
Work Done Abroad
Crowns, veneers or implants from Turkey or elsewhere that ache, feel loose or look nothing like the photos. We work out what's there and what can be kept.
"You Can't Have Implants"
Short of bone, a history of gum disease, diabetes, your age. Plenty of those can be planned around, and our CT scanner shows the real picture.
Treatment That Never Settled
A crown that has always felt high, bonding that chips, an implant that's tender. Sometimes it's a small adjustment, sometimes more.
A Diagnosis to Double-Check
You've been told you need root canal treatment, an extraction or gum surgery, and you want to be certain first.
Is There a Gentler Option?
You've been offered veneers and want to know whether bonding, whitening or Invisalign could do the job while keeping more of your own tooth.

We Examine
Teeth, gums and bite, with photos, X-rays where they're needed, and a CT scan (£160) if bone or implants are the question.
You Get a Plain Answer
Whether we'd agree with the plan, what we'd change and why, and our price. If the original plan is sound, we'll tell you that.
A Written Plan, If You'd Like It
Options, a fee for each and a rough timescale, to take away. You don't have to decide anything on the day.
Our Ground Rules
An opinion is only worth having if it's straight. We won't run down another dentist's work to win you over; we'll describe what we find and what we'd do. If you'd be better off going back to the practice that began the treatment, we'll tell you. If waiting and watching is the wiser course, we'll tell you that as well.
You'll be seen by the dentist who would treat you. For implants, All-on-4, veneers, bonding and Invisalign that's Dr Nikhil Sharma; for root canals, crowns and extractions it's one of our associate dentists. Our fees are all published, so you can set them against any quote.
People come to us from across Lanarkshire for a second look at implant plans in particular, often holding two or three quotes that don't match.
