Reading Your Invisalign Fee
What each line of an Invisalign plan from Hamilton Smile Studios means: the package and its price, the items carried inside it, the things it leaves out, and why it is drawn up in person on Brandon Street.
What Will Invisalign Cost Me in Hamilton, and What Is in the Fee?
Invisalign Lite is £3,250 at Hamilton Smile Studios, and the three larger packages are £3,750, £4,250 and £4,750. Which one appears on your plan depends on how far your teeth need to move, and Dr Nikhil Sharma works that out from an iTero scan at a free consultation. The written fee carries the X-rays, scans, aligners and refinements, along with Vivera retainers, a home whitening kit and one appointment with the hygienist. Treatment needed beforehand, and replacement retainers in later years, are priced on their own.
The Package Line
Every Invisalign plan written at our Brandon Street practice names one of four packages. The bands are set by how much movement your teeth need, and so by how many aligners are made:
- Invisalign Lite: £3,250
- Invisalign Moderate: £3,750
- Invisalign Comprehensive: £4,250
- Invisalign Comprehensive Plus: £4,750
You are not asked to choose. Dr Nikhil Sharma settles the band at the free consultation, after looking over your gums, teeth and bite, taking an iTero Lumina recording and walking you through a 3D preview of the planned movement. The £40 taken when you book is paid back within 7 days of the appointment, whatever you decide. If you need to cancel or rearrange, let us know at least 48 hours ahead. The deposit is only kept if you miss the appointment without telling us.
Lines with No Extra Charge
Underneath the package sit the items that travel with it. None is billed on top:
- X-rays and iTero scans for as long as treatment runs
- every aligner your plan calls for
- refinements, the extra run of aligners that brings a lagging tooth or two into line
- short progress visits roughly every six to eight weeks
- a set of Vivera retainers
- Boutique home whitening
- one hygiene visit
Taken from our fee list one at a time, the retainers would be £530, the whitening £350 and the hygienist's half hour £70, or £950 together. Nothing is added to that total after you sign. 1
Ask for the Plan in Writing
The consultation on Brandon Street is free, and you take the written fee home to think over.
What the Plan Leaves Out
A useful quote says what it does not cover as plainly as what it does. Three things sit outside the Invisalign fee here:
- Treatment before you start. Decay or gum disease is dealt with first, so the teeth move through healthy bone. That work is priced from the fee list and explained at the consultation.
- Cosmetic work afterwards. Bonding or veneers to tidy a chipped edge after straightening are separate, although moving the teeth first often means less of either is needed.
- Retainers in later years. One set is included. Should you need new ones, Vivera retainers cost £530 a set, while Essix clear retainers come in at £214 for an upper or lower and £270 for both arches. 1
Why the Plan Is Made in the Chair
Mail-order aligner firms can quote less partly because so much of our fee has no equivalent in theirs. Most never examine you or take X-rays before the first tray is made, rarely use bonded attachments for the harder movements, and judge progress from app photos, if at all. The two routes are compared in detail in mail-order aligners or Invisalign.
Volume matters as well. Hamilton Smile Studios has held Invisalign Diamond Apex status in each year from 2022 to 2026, a tier Align Technology awards purely on case numbers, placing a provider among the top 1% in Europe for the amount of aligner treatment carried out. It tells you aligner work is routine here. It is not a clinical qualification.
Keeping the Result You Paid For
Straightened teeth pull back towards where they began, and every adult's teeth drift a little with the years. Your Vivera retainers, worn at night once the last aligner is finished, are what hold the line. Leave them in a drawer long enough for the teeth to shift and the fix is a new course of aligners, often Lite at £3,250, so nightly wear is the cheapest habit you will keep. The routine is explained in our retainer guide.
Questions
This guide is general information, not a diagnosis. A dentist needs to examine you to say what is right for your teeth.
